The Tamil remake of Kangana Ranaut’s 'Queen' launched, feature Kajal Aggarwal

Mumbai : After a hug success of Bollywood's queen Kangana Ranaut’s super-hit comedy-drama movie 'Queen', now its Tamil remake has been launched, in which south-Indian star Kajal Aggarwal has been features in the lead, as the 'Queen' like Kangana.

The Tamil remake of Kangana Ranaut’s 'Queen', is titled 'Paris Paris', was launched on Sunday. The first poster of the film features a butterfly in the center, with its wings having a montage of different facets of Paris that Kajal, the lead actor connects with. Actor-filmmaker Ramesh Aravind, who is directing the Kannada version of the film, will also direct the Tamil version.

On the occasion of launching the first poster of the film, Aravind said that, "It's an honour for me to be a part of this project. I am directing the Kannada as well as Tamil versions. We are delighted to collaborate with Kajal, whom I consider the perfect combination of beauty, talent and enthusiasm."

The story will be set in Virudhunagar and will travel to Paris and then Barcelona and London.

Kajal Aggarwal said she will treat the film in her own way. "We are adapting the film in Tamil. I'm not here to fill in anyone's shoes. I'll treat this film as an original, in my own way. It's going to be a very special project," she said.

Notable, 'Queen' is super-hit movie of year 2014, featured Kangana Ranaut in the lead role, with Lisa Haydon and Rajkummar Rao playing supporting roles. The film tells the story of Rani, an under-confident Punjabi girl from New Delhi who embarks on her pre-planned honeymoon to Paris and Amsterdam by herself after her fiancé calls off their wedding.
