Jat agitation Haryana : CAIT demandes declare adequate compensation to affected traders

New Delhi : In the wake of large scale damage to traders and their properties due to Jat Stir in Haryana, the Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) has demanded both Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh and Haryana CM Manohar Lal Khattar to declare adequate compensation to affected traders whose shops have suffered damage.

CAIT Secretary General Praveen Khandelwal also demanded that Govt should constitute a joint committee of officials and trade leaders to assess the damage caused in different cities of Haryana and also make all efforts to restore normal business within and outside Haryana State.

CAIT National President B C Bhartia has urged Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley to advise Insurance Companies to immediately settle insurance claims of the affected traders and also advise Banks to give leverage in timings of repayment of loans.

Trading activities in Haryana have come to standstill in past days due to agitation and supplies to other states passing through Haryana have been greatly affected. Transportation of goods is virtually stop.

CAIT has called for immediate steps from both Central and State Government for bringing normalcy in business.
